PHYSICO-CHEMICAL TREATMENT

SUPERSEP™-CF

This compact, cross-flow system can be used in various applications where solids separation is required. The SUPERSEP™-CF is a special lamella type separator (parallel plate separator), with modular plate package modules.

SUPERSEP™-DF

For specific cases where space and high efficiency is an issue GWE has developed the SUPERSEP™-DF system. This super-efficient down-flow parallel plate separator is available in standardized sizes and separation modules.

SUPERFLOT™-AIR

In the SUPERFLOT™-AIR solids are separated by means of flotation, also known as Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF). Solids are forced to float by fine air bubbles attaching to these solids. The fine air bubbles are created by recycling clean effluent, in which air is dissolved under pressure. After injection, into the lower part of the flotation tank, the pressure release results in formation of fine air bubbles.

SUPERFLOT™-BIOGAS

The SUPERFLOT™-BIOGAS is used for high efficiency removal of anaerobic biomass from the effluent of an anaerobic treatment system. The anaerobic biomass is returned to the anaerobic system, thus increasing the sludge retention time. The biomass is separated by means of flotation, in this case Dissolved Biogas Flotation (DBF). Solids are forced to float by fine biogas bubbles attaching to these solids. These fine gas bubbles are created by recycling clean effluent, in which biogas is dissolved under pressure. After injection, into the lower part of the flotation tank, the pressure release results in formation of fine biogas bubbles. Since biogas is used instead of air, the system has a completely enclosed design.
